This was one of those books where, as other reviewers have said, catch you from the beginning and refuse to let you go. Richard Gleaves wrote in such as way that it would seem like he lived in Sleepy Hollow, breathed its air and knew the people.
When breaking down this first story in what will be the first in a series, if you look at plot, pacing, characters, or whatever, it is evident throughout that this is the kind of story that makes you want to read more. It is so well done and presented in a fresh way, while pulling on the legends of the past. It flows so well and takes you through twists and turns that are both fun and unexpected.
